Wheeler’s of St James’s Dubai Launches Contemporary British Menu

Wheeler’s of St James’s Dubai has launched a new menu at the DIFC restaurant championing classic contemporary British cuisine. British born and bred Daniel Lewis heads the kitchen, incorporating Sir Rocco Forte and Marco Pierre White’s traits and themes throughout the new menu. Daniel strives to not simply lead a restaurant which provides seasonal ingredients, quality steaks, roast meats and assorted seafood, but to serve these dishes with panache and class.

Daniel Lewis, Senior Corporate Chef comments, “We have great new concepts and are thrilled to be expanding the Wheeler’s menu towards British cuisine with a contemporary influence. I truly believe in working very closely with all our suppliers to maintain premium quality and also using the best of what will be on the market and sustainable for a set period of time, we hope to consistently deliver great products.”

British favourites with modern twists arriving on the menu include the chef’s recommended starters of Ballantine of Fois Gras with ginger bread crumbs and quince and Cornish Crab Salad served with green beans, potato and sauce tartare. Guests can follow delectable starters with Milk Fed Veal Cutlet or a selection of Grass Fed Black Angus steaks grilled to perfection with triple cooked chips, onion puree, melted cherry tomatoes and Béarnaise sauce or jus.

In addition, those seeking hearty traditional delights can taste Battered Cod served with pea puree and triple cooked chips or Rump of Salt Marsh Lamb with a side of dauphinoise potatoes, pesto and jus. The renowned Chilled Seafood Platter featuring delicious king prawns, crab legs, langoustines, mussels, lobster and native oysters can be enjoyed whilst sipping Wheeler’s Bellini’s, a blend of white peach puree with thyme, lemongrass and peach foam. Beloved Pan Fried Fillets of Lemon Sole with Morecambe bay shrimp and vermouth sauce or exquisite Whole Grilled Dover Sole with classic meunière are also firm favourites.
