LA PORTE DES INDES CELEBRATES 69TH INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY

Porte des Indes invites diners to celebrate the 69th Indian Independence Day with a special brunch showcasing a vibrant selection of India’s most popular dishes, originating from the diverse regions of the country. The fine dining venue, located in The Address Dubai Mall, will showcase a tantalising variety of dishes across multiple courses that reflect the diversity of the nation’s traditional cuisine. In addition, guests can look forward to a selection of exciting food & beverage set packages offered throughout the Independence Day weekend.

The Independence Day brunch begins with Three’s Company, a tri-coloured welcome drink to set a festive note for the meal ahead. This is followed by a live chaat station at the table, that lets guests experience some much-loved street preparations, such as the Bengali Jhaal Muri, Dhokla Chaat, a Gujarat-origin snack and the classic, Pani Puri. Diners can then delve into an array of mouth-watering appetisers including Gilafi Seekh Kebab, skewered lamb wrapped with bell peppers; Shrimp Balchao, a stir-fried dish from Goa; Macchi Amritsari, sea bream batter-fried and seasoned with carom seeds and coriander and Dahi ke Kebab,yoghurt cakes stuffed with cream cheese, cumin, onion and coriander.

Barra Lamb Chops (2)For mains, guests can savour a tempting assortment of delicious curries and stews, ranging from classics such as, Butter Chicken, a Delhi-style curry flavoured with fenugreek; Madras Seafood Curry made with coconut and spices and flavoured with smoked tamarind or Bengali Aloo Dum, new potatoes simmered in tomato sauce and Bengali spice blends. Diners can also choose between a vegetable or chicken biryani. In addition, each curry comes served with portions of mint parathas, Three Cheese Kulcha – an Indian bread, pomegranate and yoghurt and slow cooked black lentils. Dessert features a selection of exquisite, handcrafted Indian sweets to ensure that appetites are well and truly sated.
